D'Annunzio Secrets 2022

Amphitheater of Vittoriale. D’Annunzio’s Secrets interpretated by Mara Galeazzi, principal of the Royal Ballet of London. She performs as Ida Rubinstein accompanied by Lorenzo Lelli and Vincenzo Romano, new graduates of Accademia Teatro alla Scala.

The ballet takes you to the second decade of the nineteenth Century, to Paris living by the Ballets Russes to which Gabriele d’Annunzio and Claude Debussy assisted.

After the first week—dedicated to choreographer Karole Armitage—MilanOltre gives space to Matteo Levaggi and his Balletto Teatro di Torino. On stage is PrimoToccare, a triptych aimed at representing the inner journey toward an aesthetic ideal. The profile dedicated to Matteo Levaggi opens on October 13 at the Teatro dell'Elfo with "Primo Toccare," which arrives in Milan in its entirety. On October 14, there will be a mixed program that explores the art of Andy Warhol, Caravaggio, and Man Ray, culminating in the abstract dance of the latest creations: Gee, Andy! Caravaggio. Ray Man, and Canto bianco.

Erupting Light is a tribute to one of Visconti's muses, Anna Magnani, who was the superb star of the film Bellissima. Some images recall dance lessons at the Rome Opera Ballet School, then directed by sisters Teresa and Palcida Battagli. The video becomes the backdrop for an original creation in its world premiere.
